I would love to understand the steps in a Sephardic marriage. In my own thinking, at a superficial level, I have used clan intermarriage in the African context as a comparator.The terms used in the Sephardic marriage process make further understanding difficult. Georgina Marks has posted some valuable compilations related to the arrival of persons in London which many of us have found useful, including a List of the Merchants of London 1677. Here is a further list which I found lurking on the www when I was searching for Barrows - before I met Julian Land online.

This is a slightly obscure request for this forum. If acceptable, I would like assistance in tracing records of manumitted slaves, or children born of masters and slaves, in London.
